JSDF publishes original research that explores the complex interactions between digital technologies, economic systems, governance structures, and sustainable development strategies. Interdisciplinary studies that integrate perspectives from fields such as economics, management, international trade, public policy, environmental studies, and information systems are strongly encouraged. By promoting academic dialogue across disciplines, JSDF seeks to contribute to the development of sustainable and inclusive digital futures.

The language of publication is English. JSDF is published biannually, with two issues released each year in June and December. All stages of the editorial, submission, and publishing process are conducted through the JSDF’s independent online platform, which ensures transparency, efficiency, and accessibility for authors, reviewers, and editors.

JSDF applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the scientific quality and integrity of the manuscripts it publishes. Each submission is evaluated by at least two independent and anonymous reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. This evaluation process aims to ensure that published articles meet high academic standards in terms of originality, methodological rigor, and scholarly contribution. In addition, all manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using Turnitin prior to the peer review process to ensure compliance with academic integrity and originality standards.

All accepted articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and published online in full text with open access. Established in 2025, JSDF operates under a diamond open-access model, meaning that neither submission nor publication fees are charged to authors. JSDF is committed to supporting the unrestricted dissemination of academic knowledge and providing free access to scholarly research for both authors and readers worldwide.

Through these policies, JSDF aims to maintain high standards of academic publishing while promoting the global exchange of knowledge on sustainable digital transformation.
