JSDF is committed to the principles of open access to enhance the global exchange of scientific knowledge. Our Open Access policy aligns fully with the guidelines established by the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

Immediate Open Access

All content published in JSDF is freely accessible immediately upon publication, without any embargo period. This ensures prompt dissemination of research findings, maximizing the impact and visibility of authors' work.

Rights and Permissions

In line with BOAI principles, "open access" means unrestricted access via the public internet. Users are permitted to:

  • Read, download, and print full-text articles.
  • Distribute and share content freely.
  • Copy, search, link to, and index articles for scholarly, educational, and research purposes.
  • Use content as data for software and computational analysis, provided the original authors and source are properly acknowledged and cited.

Author Rights and Integrity

Authors retain control over the integrity of their work and have the right to proper attribution. All users accessing the Journal’s content must acknowledge the author(s) and source accurately and comprehensively.

No Fees or Charges

JSDF does not impose any subscription fees, publication fees, article processing charges (APCs), or any similar costs for accessing electronic resources. Both submission and access are entirely free of charge.

Licensing Terms

All articles published in JSDF are licensed under a Creative Commons (CC) Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0). CC BY 4.0 license enables reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use.

Indexing and Archiving

Articles published under this Open Access policy may be freely indexed, archived, and shared by individuals, institutional repositories, libraries, and indexing services, enhancing the discoverability and preservation of published research.

Commitment to Open Science

JSDF promotes open scientific practices beyond open access, including open data, transparency in methodology, and reproducibility of research, supporting greater scientific rigor and credibility.
